ERASMUS POLICY STATEMENT

Our Higher VET Institution understands its participation in the Erasmus+ program as a roadmap to comply in order to make possible good quality mobilities, both for students and staff, and effective project development, whereas in innovation and good practices exchange or policy and cooperation development, all of them carried out in an inclusive and non-discrimatory manner.

The Strategic Plan of the Institution determines 2 strategic lines associated with internationalization, being them mobility of students/staff and the improvement of the Basque VET system by means of participation in innovation/good practices exchange international projects.

In the case of mobility, the goal is the improvement of intercultural, social and professional competences, both for students and staff, so as to gain greater conscience about our belonging to a European community area.

In the case of cooperation and innovation and good practices projects, the objective of the institution is to share useful experiences (curricular development, didactical methodologies, inclusivity…) and/or generate learning experiences and results, both in technical area (in one of our teaching fields: Mechanical production, Business and finances, Electricity-electronics, and Energy Installations and Renewables) and transversal ones (internship tutoring, dual formation…) that will help us to improve our performance.

Regarding the projects of policy development and cooperation, our Institution’s goal is to play the role of a collaborator in the education field (especially in the energetic field where we consider ourselves referent partners) in projects which comprise development of new curricula, adaptation to new training needs in a European context.

 

The Institution is interested in taking part in the following actions, which will make possible to achieve the objectives specified in Institution’s strategy as shown below:

- Traineeship mobility activities for students and training mobility activities for staff.

- Innovation and good practices exchange.

-Policy development and cooperation projects

 

A positive impact is expected in a way that professional, multicultural, social and technical competences of students and staff will improve. Besides, the language skills will be improved and that will go in Institution’s benefit. In what concerns to cooperation and innovation projects, they will enable an improvement in Institution’s strategic lines (technologic, pedagogic…).

 

 The following targets are related to our implementation of the Erasmus+ program:

 - Improve the quality and increase quantitatively the mobility of students and staff in Europe.

- Improve qualitatively and increase quantitatively cooperation among the Higher Education Institutions in Europe.

- Improve the quality of Vocational Studies with visits to firms in other countries so that students and teachers can improve their mutual understanding and the Exchange of professional knowledge.

- Reinforce the cooperation between Vocational Studies and the companies to identify the students´ needs, update their curriculum, improve the quality of their education and make our students more competitive at a European level so that they can access the European job market.

- Awaken in our students the conscience of European citizenship reinforcing their attitudes of social cohesion, intercultural dialogue and personal responsibility.

- Encourage multilingualism.
